Description
Winemaker Robert Brittan chose his favorite barrel from his favorite block in the 70-year-old field blend Petite Syrah vineyard. This estate vineyard consists of Syrah, Peloursin, Grenache, Mouvedre, Carignane and Viognier. These grapes were picked together and fermented together to create this one-of-a-kind wine from the 2001 vintage. Its rich structure and mouth-filling ripe blackberry fruit flavors reflect the vineyard's complex character. This is the only time that this block of grapes has been bottled together.
