Stelling Vineyard
2001 Cabernet Sauvignon
Oakville
In the 1940's, a viticultural visionary named Martin Stelling acquired 6,000 acres in the Napa Valley, located primarily along the base of the western hills in Oakville. Throughout his vast holdings, there was one special parcel that Mr. Stelling earmarked for his own vineyard estate because of its potential to grow exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. Unfortunately, Mr. Stelling passed away before he was able to make wine from the vineyard, but it has produced Cabernet exclusively for Far Niente since our first vintage in 1982. The Far Niente 2001 Stelling Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon includes small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot in the blend.
