Description
Beatty Ranch sits above the fog at 1800 feet in elevation in the Howell Mountain appellation. Mike Beatty, who purchased the property in the mid 1970's, and his partners Jerre Sears and Joyce Black Sears (Black Sears Vineyard) formed Howell Mountain Vineyards in 1988. The 2002 Best of Beatty Ranch Cabernet showed richness from the beginning, with blueberry, cherry and mountain fruit intensity. The chocolaty flavors are surrounded by velvety tannins that give way to a lingering finish.
