Description
The 100-acre Stelling Vineyard in western Oakville is the crown jewel of Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon, having been the primary source of our Cabernet since the first vintage in 1982. Twenty years later, the vineyard continues to impress. This 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon wine comes from one block of the Stelling Vineyard. The grapes were picked later, allowing the tannins to become very sweet and juicy. Early pressing contributed to the wine’s impressive mid-palate and powerful, mouth-filling presence. Aromatics of black cherry and spice are complemented by rich flavors of cassis and ripe, black fruit. The wine’s sweet, juicy tannins meld into a lengthy, flavorful finish.
