Church Vineyard
2004 Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley
The Long Meadow Ranch Church Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon takes its name from E.J. Church, the ranch’s pioneering settler who obtained the property via a patent grant from President Ulysses S. Grant in 1872. Planted in 2000, wine was last made from this historic site in 1920. Because of its southeasterly exposure, the Church Vineyard gets a long day of sunlight without being exposed during hot summer afternoons. This block develops deep fruit flavors and ripe tannins early in the year and is always our first Cabernet block to be picked.
