Description

Ok, so 2003 was a weird growing season, but we "babied" the Brown Ranch pinots and were rewarded with wines of wonderful perfume, refreshing acidity and firm tannic underpinnings (remember it's pinot noir). The clone that best exemplifies the character of the 2003 vintage is Dijon 667. Always at the core of the commercial Brown Ranch blend, Dijon 667 provides body and sweetness coupled with wonderful sour cherry acidity and the most beguiling of perfumes. Brown Ranch boasts Dijon 667 planted in three different blocks, on three different rootstocks, each with its own soil type, exposure and unique microclimate.
