Description
PlumpJack Winery presents the 2004 PlumpJack Syrah. Crafted from grapes grown in the Carneros region and on a steep hillside vineyard near the winery in Oakville, winemaker intervention was kept to a minimum. Beginning with native yeast inoculation, the Syrah underwent whole-cluster fermentation and was punched down gently three times each day. It was aged in new French "François Freres" barrels until bottling in the spring of 2006.
