Crafted from our estate Abela Vineyard in the heart of the Rutherford appellation, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is the epitome of power and elegance in every sip. A tribute to the vineyard’s original owner, Charlie Abela, this wine showcases an extraordinary blend of bold and refined flavors. Immerse yourself in luscious notes of ripe blackberry, cassis and black currant, perfectly balanced with hints of dark chocolate and warming spice. Its rich structure, complemented by signature Rutherford ‘dusty’ tannins, envelops the palate and unfolds into a velvety, smooth finish. Marc joins Rutherford Wine Company with a strong background in California winemaking, with a focus on Napa and Sonoma. He was most recently the winemaker for Treasury Wine Estate’s Etude Wines. He gained experience with other brands such as Chateau St. Jean, Sledgehammer and Run Riot and has international experience with Wolf Blass in Barossa Valley.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Wine and Viticulture/Enology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
