Description
The bird-themed series, of which this is the fifth iteration, has been a wonderful collaboration between my son and myself.
Born during Covid as we spent more time enjoying our lands free from the distractions of visitors, pairing a bird with a special estate blend just seemed like a really enjoyable thing to do. In this wine the spotting of The Goose came first and the wine was blended to match.
Here are some of my tasting notes from the blending trial last May - glorious, flashy, savory, major yum! and winnah!
If any of those very scientific descriptors appeal to you, then you will indeed love this wine! It is a blend of 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc.

Began drinking wine at the age of 10. Worked under Joe Cafaro for Keenan's first harvest in 1977. Became director of Keenan Winery in 1998.
