Description
This hand-selected barrel was crafted from one of the oldest, west-facing hillside blocks on the KoKo Vineyard. This is the first time that this particular micro block has been kept separate for a special bottling. In 2023 the yields were 2.2 tons per acre, resulting in a Cabernet Sauvignon with great complexity, depth and fine integrated tannins.

Jeff Owens
Winemaker, Maxville Winery
After spending 17 years with the PlumpJack Group, winemaker Jeff Owens joined team Maxville for the 2023 harvest as Consulting Winemaker.
Owens worked for PlumpJack following college as Enologist, Assistant Winemaker and then founding Head Winemaker for Odette Estate where he scored his first 100-point wine with the inaugural vintage.
A resident of Napa, Owens was a part of the first graduating class for wine and viticulture at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
