Cabernet Sauvignon
Stags Leap District

5 cases produced

Highlights

  • "FAYtini" – 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from two blocks of our eldest vines planted in the 1970s
  • These vines trace their genetic heritage to the FAY and Louis Martini vineyards
  • Grown on soils derived from volcanic eruptions and gravelly alluvium
  • Aging 22 months in French oak barrels coopered from 300-year-old trees

Description

Crafted exclusively for Premiere Napa Valley, your wine is a blend of our finest barrels and most cherished vines. The wine greets you with effusive blue and black fruit aromatics interwoven with violet petals on crushed graphite, a hallmark of our historic Stags Leap District estate vineyard. The influence of new oak enhances the wine's terroir-driven spice notes and adds polish to its powerfully built structure. It's not just bold; it's flashy, with a presence that commands attention.

Andrew Haugen

Winemaker, Odette Estate Winery

Winemaker, Andrew Haugen

Originally from Southern California, Andrew's journey into the world of wine began with a serendipitous encounter with the wine-centric movie 'Sideways' during his time at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Intrigued by the allure of wine, he began taking wine classes alongside his biology curriculum and exploring the burgeoning wine-growing regions of the Central Coast. After gaining experience at wineries across the globe, including Stonestreet in Sonoma County for his inaugural 2012 harvest, Church Road Winery in New Zealand, Howard Park in Australia, and Gran Moraine in Oregon's Willamette Valley, he joined Odette Estate Winery in 2015.

Since 2015, Andrew has continuously honed his craft and deepened his knowledge, progressing from cellar master to enologist to assistant winemaker and assuming the role of head winemaker in 2023.
