Description
“The Character” is the result of an evolving approach to winemaking at Markham Vineyards. While the focus on Merlot
remains, this wine represents a blend of classic red varietals –
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot,
all sourced from our premiere Yountville estate.

Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Kimberlee Nicholls has
earned a reputation as one of Napa Valley’s most respected
winemakers. With a gifted palate, and over three decades of Napa
Valley winemaking knowledge and experience, Kim crafts
wines of character and complexity from Markham’s 260 acres of
certified sustainable estate vineyards in Yountville, Oak Knoll
and Calistoga.
