Red Wine
Napa Valley

Description

Owner Dave Miner and winemaker Gary Brookman chose to take a new direction for Premiere Napa Valley this year, with an offering that leans a bit to the right—the Right Bank, that is.

While we bottle both a Cabernet Franc and a Merlot, we have never, until now, created a blend of these two varietals. So for Premiere Napa Valley, we offer just that, with the fruit coming from one stellar source: the renowned Stagecoach Vineyard. By pairing incredibly concentrated Merlot and floral and spicy Cabernet Franc from this site, we’ve created a rich but gorgeously balanced and aromatic wine—a departure from status quo, but uniquely Miner.

After more than a decade at the helm as Miner's winemaker, Gary Brookman remains dedicated to making expressive, elegant wines that are true to each varietal and vineyard. He makes more than 24 boutique bottlings for Miner using fruit from Napa Valley and other specially selected California vineyards. By using a combination of "Old World" winemaking techniques and modern technology, he crafts wines that reflect the unique characteristics of individual vineyards or "terroir" where specific varietals grow best.
