ROY Estate and winemaker Philippe Melka are pleased to present "Voix Basse"....translation, whisper. We say whisper as a metaphor because Philippe believes our vineyard has two "voices" resulting in two styles of wine crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Voix Basse, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, is an expression of clone 337 at its best, combining purity, minerality and sensuality. All Roy Estate wines are made exclusively from estate-grown fruit.
The Wappo Indians once lived on a rock ledge overlooking this Soda Canyon property. They chose this site due to the hospitable nature of the land. Today, Shirley and Charles Roy are privileged to be its caretakers.
