Description
Our special Premiere Napa Valley Merlot comes exclusively from Yates Ranch located just north of our winery on Mt. Veeder. The vineyard was established in the 1880s by Ehrest Streich, and for the last 55 years it has been owned and operated by the Yates family. The vineyard is 1,100 ft above the valley floor and its steep, rocky mountainside provides little for the vineyard existence, resulting in low yields but high flavor and concentration. A unique gem that winemakers dream of!
