Description
As a small, family-owned producer, we are able to treat each barrel individually—like one of our children. The Bressler Vineyards Premiere offering is the outgoing, precocious, adorable child. Even young, this wine is engaging and thoroughly enjoyable—one you will want to bring out to show your friends. As good parents, we love all the wines we make, but this 2009 Premiere Napa Valley blend is extra special; just please don't tell our other kids we said that.

Mia Klein
Winemaker, Bressler Vineyards
Bressler Vineyard's winemaker is Mia Klein, one of the most widely respected winemakers in California. Having worked in restaurant kitchens before embarking on her winemaking career, Mia has an innate ability to craft wines of finesse and balance from top-quality fruit.
After receiving her degree in Enology from U.C. Davis, Mia worked her way up from the cellar, starting on the night shift at Chappellet under the tutelage of Cathy Corison, before moving on to Robert Pepi Winery. She then left the world of regular employment to work with Tony Soter as a consulting winemaker for Spottswoode Estate Vineyard & Winery, Araujo and Viader. Later, Mia won acclaim as winemaker for Dalla Valle Vineyards. Mia now makes wine for her own small label, Selene, and three small, super-premium producers, including Bressler Vineyards.
Country born: United States
Education: UC Davis, B.S. Enology
Years in the wine industry: 15-20 years
Honors / Awards:
Food and Wine Magazine Winemaker of the Year 2003
Winemaking Philosophy:
Mia believes in letting the fruit drive the style of wine, rather than forcing her wines into a predetermined style. Her wines are rich, complex, and seamless, and pair beautifully with food.
