Description
290 vines of Cabernet Sauvignon were added
to our Yountville Estate Merlot vineyard. In
the past it was field-blended with the Merlot,
but in 2005 we harvested the Cabernet
Sauvignon separately to determine its
individual properties. Imagine our surprise
when what emerged was a high-quality,
superb Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon!
Only two barrels are produced from these
vines annually, from which winemaker Barry
Grushkowitz created this Premiere Napa
Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with our
Estate Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
