Description
Vine by vine, the taste of luminous Cabernet fruit character carved a triangle out of the southeast corner of FAY, Block 4. Along the path of an ancient riverbed, its vines ripen earlier than the rest of the block. Budwood was selected from S.L.V. 4 (much of which goes into Cask 23). Rich fruit integrity suggested finishing primary fermentation and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, adding a further layer of complexity.
