Description
Aided by small berry size and sparse canopies, Villa Mt. Eden's renowned "Tall Trees" vineyard in Yountville produced intensely concentrated first crop fruit, for this single-vineyard Syrah. The vineyard's cooler microclimate contributes to the fruit and spice character for which Syrah is prized. The 2000 growing season's warm temperatures, followed by cooler conditions, allowed the fruit extra time on the vine, further enhancing the ripe flavors and deep color.
