Nickel & Nickel is devoted exclusively to producing single-vineyard, single-varietal wines. The Vogt Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, which will debut in 2003, is normally composed of two different Cabernet lots from the Vogt Vineyard on Howell Mountain. The 2001 Vogt Vineyard Premiere Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon comes from just one of these lots. This select area of the vineyard ripens early, offering an extremely flavorful, rich and powerful wine that forms the backbone of the Nickel & Nickel Vogt Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.
