Description
Our oldest block of Petite Syrah, a field blend of Rhone varietals, was planted over 70 years ago and still produces a small-but-concentrated crop. Winemaker Robert Brittan co-ferments this block of mixed varietals, yielding more complex aromas and flavors and the tell-tale Stags' Leap firm-but-soft structure. This lot is from Brittan's favorite barrel, from his favorite block, grown during the 2003 vintage.
