Description
A classic red blend meticulously crafted by hand-selecting and blending barrels of all five Bordeaux varieties.
A superbly bold-yet-balanced combination of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and a foundation of Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit was sourced from vineyards within the iconic Oakville nested appellation.

Abigail Estrada
Winemaker, TEXTBOOK
A Bay Area native and UC Davis Viticulture & Enology graduate, Abigail Estrada brings a global perspective and deep Napa Valley expertise to her role as Winemaker at TEXTBOOK Vineyards.
Her winemaking journey has taken her around the world, with harvests in Italy, Israel, and New Zealand, and through some of Napa Valley's most respected wineries, including Robert Mondavi, Domaine Chandon, and Markham Vineyards, where she rose to Associate Winemaker.
Appointed Winemaker at TEXTBOOK in 2022, Abigail leads the crafting of benchmark, site-driven wines that express the distinctive character of varietal and place. Her portfolio includes acclaimed small-lot Napa Valley Cabernets from prestigious Oakville and Yountville vineyards, where thoughtful vineyard selection, precision, and balance define her approach.
Recognized among Beverage Dynamics' 2025 40 Under 40, Abigail is helping shape the future of California winemaking. Beyond the cellar, she serves on the Board of the Napa Valley Wine Technical Group and actively supports organizations championing mentorship, collaboration, and leadership within the wine industry.

Education: B.S. in Viticulture & Enology, University of California, Davis, complemented by international harvest experience in Italy, Israel, and New Zealand. My Napa Valley experience includes Robert Mondavi Winery, Domaine Chandon, and Markham Vineyards.
Kimberlee Nicholls, a highly respected Napa Valley winemaker with 33 years at Markham Vineyards, has been one of the most influential mentors in my winemaking journey. She hired me for my first full-time position in the wine industry as Enologist at Markham, where I later advanced to Associate Winemaker. Working alongside Kim gave me an invaluable foundation in Napa Valley winemaking. Her friendship, guidance, encouragement, and belief in my potential have had a lasting influence on my career and approach to the craft.
I'm also inspired by TEXTBOOK founder Jonathan Pey, whose vision for crafting benchmark wines that authentically express varietal and place continues to guide the winery's philosophy and my approach to winemaking.

Honors / Awards:
Named to Beverage Dynamics' 2025 40 Under 40, recognizing emerging leaders shaping the beverage alcohol industry. Her 2022 TEXTBOOK Mise en Place Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon was praised by Robb Report as the “crème de la crème of Cabs.” Abigail also serves on the Board of the Napa Valley Wine Technical Group.

I believe great wine begins in the vineyard and should be a true reflection of its varietal and place. At TEXTBOOK, we seek out exceptional vineyard sites and craft wines with precision, balance, and a sense of purpose. Through thoughtful picking decisions, gentle extraction, and measured oak integration, our goal is to let the fruit and terroir shine, creating wines that are expressive, elegant, and made to be enjoyed at the table.
