Wine Trade and Vintners Come Together to Invest in Napa's Future at Premiere Napa Valley

Our wineries can’t wait to share their latest in innovation and creativity with you through the wines of Premiere Napa Valley. In addition to the debut of the 2020 vintage there will also be wines from 2019, 2021 and multi-vintage wines.

We are excited to partner with Sotheby’s to offer a professional and world-class auction allowing trade to bid from anywhere in the world. This partnership elevates the Premiere Napa Valley brand, making the wine you buy more valuable and visible to collectors and discriminating wine drinkers globally.

At this year’s Premiere, we have a full schedule of both virtual and in person events to choose from including the new Vintage Perspective Auction. This auction will feature 1, 2 or 3 case lots of wine from the 2001 - 2010 vintages. This opportunity is ideal for any trade account, particularly restaurants, interested in adding ready-to-drink wines to their portfolio.

Your registration through Sotheby’s will include access to bidding in both Premiere Napa Valley and the Vintage Perspective Auction. Online bidding for both Premiere Napa Valley and the Vintage Perspective Auction will open at 12:01 am PT on Wednesday, February 23. Premiere Napa Valley will close for online bidding at noon and will transfer to a live-stream auction at 1 pm PT on Saturday, February 26. The Vintage Perspective Auction will close online at 4 pm PT on Saturday, February 26.

All proceeds from Premiere Napa Valley will fund programs to promote, protect and enhance Napa Valley.

New Registration and Payment Protocol for 2022

With our partnership with Sotheby’s, bidding registration and payments will go through them with whom we have negotiated a below-industry-standard buyer’s premium of 8% that will be added to all sales. Following your in-person or virtual registration you will need to create an account with Sotheby’s for your bidding paddle and submit your resale license. As always, the auction is open only to members of the wine trade; all lots are sold FOB California; shipping arrangements, shipping and insurance are the sole responsibility of the purchaser; full payment for the lot must be made no later than March 31, 2022.
