Description

Michael Black is one of the preeminent viticulturists in Northern California, having planted some of the regions most famous vineyards. His love affair with Merlot started in the 1970's and he soon began collecting "wood" from Merlot vineyards that he admired. He eventually propagated a unique clonal selection that he used to plant a vineyard in 1987 on the hillside where he lives. COHO is honored to be the winery that produces this highly aromatic, flavorful, and structured Merlot.
