Description

Born as a result of Beaulieu’s groundbreaking evaluation of a 14-year series of Cabernet Sauvignon clones in the 1970s and 1980s, this wine focuses on two clones. The analysis of these trials revealed that these clones were among the most expressive and dynamic. Clone 4, sourced from Mendoza, Argentina, and Clone 6, rediscovered in Jackson, California, are seamlessly blended into an exquisite example of power and grace. They became mainstays of our BV Ranch No. 2 Rutherford vineyard and are key components of our exquisite Georges de Latour Private Reserve. Award-winning winemaker Jeffrey Stambor collaborated with world-renowned wine producer Michel Rolland to produce this Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented in 100 percent new French oak barrels. Clone 4 produces a lush, full-bodied wine, while Clone 6 is highly extracted and muscular. Our goal was to create a phenomenal wine whose sum was greater than its parts—for us four plus six equals Eleven. This wine is made exclusively for Premiere Napa Valley.
