Description

The 2013 Clos Pegase Winery “The OG” from The Original G Block of our acclaimed Tenma Vineyard (source of our Hommage Reserve) is a single lot of Cabernet Sauvignon whose style is derived from the interplay of gravelly volcanic soils (providing concentration), warm Calistoga days moderated by pacific breezes through the Chalk Hill Wind Gap (producing unique spice and racy tannins) and the only Clone 337 at the site (adding power and density to the mix). Cluster then berry sorted at the winery, this lot was vinified as a separate small lot and babied through fermentation and extended maceration. It now is aging in our Cave and is projected to be bottled after 18 month of total time in barrel. This is a unique opportunity to experience a single component of our Hommage blend exemplifying the best of our premium Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard.
