Yverdon Vineyard
2007 Cabernet Sauvignon
Spring Mountain District
A fantastic vintage from the Spring Mountain District nested appellation, this 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon shows the classic elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon grown at 1,800 feet on the Mayacamas mountains. Winemaker Sam Baxter planted the vineyard and made this wine from the historic Yverdon Winery estate which was originally planted to Reisling in the 1970s. Sam's classic style of winemaking captures the soul of this mountain location focusing on fresh ripe black fruits and rich dark cocoa tannins, layered with herbs and earth. This wine was envisioned to cellar well and at 14 years is just now entering its peak phase.
