Description

This is the ultimate expression of small lot winemaking, a winemaker’s true calling and artistry offered to Premiere Napa Valley. This wine begins in the vineyard, with vines meticulously planted by Michael and his family in 2004, attributed to rootstock with origins stemming from the esteemed Château d’Yquem in Bordeaux, whose cuttings first made their way to California in the 1880s with famed vintner Charles A. Wetmore. Aromas of tropical fruit, such as guava and nectarine, mixed with citrus aromas of lime zest and blood orange, are already showcasing in this wine’s youth. The robust palate displays unprecedented depth and complexity, amazing texture and a long, lingering finish. This is a wine built to age away in the cellar, but drinking impressively well in its infancy.
