Description

The 2018 vintage of the Falabella Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon is extraordinary! This 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon from a single vineyard benefited from winemaker Linda Trotta’s dream growing season. Sitting above the fogline in the revered Atlas Peak nested appellation, these grapes ripened slowly over a long growing season with a cool spring, moderate summer and later-than-usual harvest. This especially long growing season combined with the rocky, volcanic soils produced a uniquely concentrated wine with naturally high acidity and memorable fruit intensity. This fruit-driven Cabernet Sauvignon offers complex aromas of black cherry, blackberry and boysenberry with hints of tobacco and licorice. The lush fruit flavors are layered with notes of coffee, chocolate and cinnamon. Rounded broad tannins lead to the long, evolving finish. Hand-selected for its elegance by winemaker Linda Trotta.
