Description

For the third time in more than three decades, Kenefick Ranch is releasing a limited case production wine for Premiere Napa Valley. Sourced from small vineyard lots along the Palisade Ridge Range, this Premiere Napa Valley wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate, this Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 100 percent new French oak, displays warm notes of oak and fresh berries that lead into a beautiful finish with balanced tannins. This should continue to age gracefully for another 10 years, but it is awfully good now. Spectacular wines are born of spectacular terrain and terroir. Kenefick Ranch sits on some of the most remarkable land in the Napa Valley – a contiguous 125-acre piece of land in the Calistoga appellation “removed bench” that’s unique in its varied soil profiles (four distinct soil types) and two microclimates. Within this single property are small elevation changes, bookended by two canyons creating alluvial fans on each side, and well-drained volcanic soils in the middle of the estate. As any winemaker will tell you, the wine is made in the vineyard.
