Winemaker, Ehlers Estate
I have been the winemaker at Ehlers Estate, responsible for all grape growing and winemaking, since the start of 2009. After internships at Domaine Carneros and Chateau Petrus, I joined the winemaking team at Stags' Leap Winery. In 2003 I was recruited by Tony Soter to serve as his winemaker and director of operations at Etude Wines. Two years later I was asked back to Stags' Leap to take over as head winemaker, where I enjoyed an instrumental role in further building the reputation of that historic property. In 2008, when the opportunity to make wines from the magnificent vineyards at Ehlers Estate was presented to me I leapt and never looked back!
