Thomas Rivers Brown distills the best of Hestan Vineyards in this special Premiere Napa Valley bottling, which for the first time incorporates some of the newer Cabernet Sauvignon plantings he supervised on the estate in 2009. Deep and focused, the fruit from Hestan Vineyards, situated on the eastern slopes of the Vaca Mountains, benefits from exposure to the early morning sun and shade protection from the heat of the afternoon. These conditions created a wine with complex layers of red and blue fruit framed by natural acidity that gives lift and length and a tannin structure to age gracefully.
