Description

Cabernet Franc is an ancient variety, reported to be much older than Cabernet Sauvignon, and thought to have come originally from Spain. When grown in the right vineyard and nurtured with great care it can thrill the senses and inspire the soul. Draped across the gently sloping Southwest shoulder of Atlas Peak, Brokenrock Ranch is such a magical place. Rocky, sun drenched, cooled by ocean breezes, this is where Bill Hill decided to make his home and grow his wines. This 2013 Cabernet Franc comes from a small two acre block at the top of the Ranch which always produces wines with alluring aromas suggestive of roses. The 2013 vintage produced wines at Brokenrock that are unusually intense and voluptuous. We think that you will find that it fulfills the promise to “thrill the senses and inspire the soul”.
