Description

Most associate Tierra Roja with winemaker David DeSante, but insiders know that Katharine DeSante’s amazing palate is a key factor in all of their wines. For Premiere Napa Valley, Katharine and I blended our skills to create this Cabernet Sauvignon. The core comes from Tierra Roja, in the hills of eastern Oakville. To this, we added structure with wine from another Oakville hillside vineyard, and elegance from a vineyard in the heart of Oakville. The wine is aged in a barrel custom-coopered for the DeSante family of wines. The result? A powerful Cabernet, full of layers and nuance and overflowing with the beautiful blackberry, chocolate and cherry flavors you expect from this region. Cheers! Linda Neal

Aging Process

Aged 18 months in custom-coopered barrels of 80% new French, 5% American and 10% Hungarian Oaks.
