Three Palms Vineyard
5 cases produced
Three Palms Cab? Yes, the first-ever single-vineyard Three Palms Cabernet!
Once called Larkmead, Three Palms Vineyard is a historic property that was owned by Lillie Hitchcock Coit. Winemaker Tom Rinaldi, who gained recognition for his Duckhorn Three Palms Vineyard Merlots beginning with the 1978 vintage, is excited to be reunited with this exceptional vineyard. This is the first Three Palms Cabernet Sauvignon made by Provenance Vineyards. Three Palms Vineyard is located on the valley floor at the northern end of the Napa Valley in Calistoga. The flooding of the nearby Selby Creek deposited rocks creating well-drained alluvial-type soils that stress the vines, produce small berries and create concentrated fruit flavors more typical of mountain vineyard sites. Three Palms Vineyard's extremely rocky soils, reminiscent of Bordeaux, and its hot days and unusually cool nights produce uncommonly robust wines. This 100% French oak barrel holds 100% terroir-driven 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. It shows classic notes of dark extracted plums, blueberries, blackberries and dark chocolate mocha.
