Description

We are pleased to offer this wine commemorating our first-ever Cabernet Sauvignon – Petit Verdot blend produced by Spotted Owl Vineyards. Handcrafted by winemaker Rolando Herrera and Mikhail Gishizky, this wine captures the terroir of our Mount Veeder vineyards. At 1,200 feet above the valley floor on the eastern face of Mount Veeder, the cooler climate, dry thin soils and steep terrain produce tiny clusters of aromatic and intensely flavored dark fruit that are prized for the complexity and structure they impart. Like the spotted owl bird that inhabits our land, Spotted Owl Vineyards “Kiss of Verdot” is rare and elusive —it will not be made again, so “paddle up” while you can.
