2009 Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley
This lot is a one-time-only blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from Robert Foley Howell Mountain Vineyard and the Peterson Family Vineyard of Switchback Ridge fame. The mountain fruit grown at 2,000 feet elevation in Howell Mountain’s volcanic soils provides the sturdy framework for this wine, while the rich mid-palate and sweet viscosity evolve from fruit kissed by the warm Calistoga sun. Blended together, the resulting wine displays an unequaled completeness of character— harmonious perfection.
This wine has been barrel aged in the Robert Foley caves in center of France, medium plus toast barrels for 20 months.

Q: Premiere Napa Valley wines are innovative and allow each winery to showcase the region's sense of exploration in fine winemaking. What kind of exploration did your Premiere Napa Valley wine allow you to do?
A: Exploration to me is always a quest for perfection (and this comes darn close!). I love this particular Cabernet blend because of the character of these two wines individually as well as the synergy that the blend creates.
