Description

Spring Mountain Vineyard is an 850-acre estate with 135 distinct hillside vineyard blocks. Because of the diverse and challenging terrain, many of its 225 acres are trained to a unique trellising method, vertical Gobelet. "Gobelet" trained vines are hand-tied into the shape of a wine glass. These head-trained vines, many planted meter-by-meter in densities of over 4,000 vines per acre, carry only a few pounds of fruit and benefit from 360-degree canopy management that ensures even ripening. This Cabernet Sauvignon, made exclusively from Gobelet vines, shows the deep color and lush concentration typical of Cabernet grown on the Spring Mountain Vineyard.
