1993 Late Disgorged J. Schram
1993 Sparkling Wine
Napa Valley
Dedicated to our founder of 1862, Jacob Schram, J. Schram epitomizes our philosophy to create a wine in which no effort has been spared and no care omitted. The 1993, our sixth J. Schram, bottling, was originally disgorged in July 1999. For 2008 Premiere Napa Valley, the 1993 J. Schram Late Disgorged has been allowed to age en tirage for an additional nine years in our Diamond Mountain cave. Winemaker notes: "The 1993 J. Schram, with 14 years of bottle aging in contact with the yeast sediment, has allowed this wine to develop bold, robust aromas of roasted nuts, baked breads, dried tropical fruits, and honey. The palate exhibits a rich balance of pleasing flavors, and finishes with a riding fruitful acidity." ~ Winemakers Hugh Davies and Craig Roemer
