Description
The Winiarski family planted S.L.V. Block 2B to Merlot in 1970. (Winner of the famed ‘Paris Tasting’, our 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon was 5% this Merlot block.) The decision to pull the grapevines after the 1999 harvest due to increasingly meager production was difficult. This block-designated wine captures a significant last moment of glory.
