Winemaker, Beringer Vineyards
I have had a rather unique experience of working for Beringer for 28 years. This has given me the opportunity to work closely with great mentors, including Ed Sbragia and Myron Nightingale. I'm rewarded by the intersection of art and science that winemaking offers, and the constant evolution of our work—whether it's in the vineyards or the winery. I'm excited by how unique each Harvest is, and honored to have a hand in creating something that will be enjoyed for decades to come.

The importance of starting with great vineyards cannot be overstated. The variety and quality of vineyards we have to work with here in the Napa Valley is spectacular. I also believe winemaking isn't just about science—it is just as important that you trust your instincts.
