Description
This wine comes from E-Block in the Spaulding Vineyard on Diamond Mountain. The terroir of this vineyard is steeply terraced, well-drained volcanic soil with a western exposure. The grapes were harvested on October 6 at 23 Brix. After crush the juice was cool-soaked for 48 hours prior to fermentation. The wine was then placed in Seguin Moreau medium toast French oak barrels where they remain today. The wine exhibits deep color, earthy aromas with flavors of damson plum and vanilla.
