Description
Block 22 of our Estate Vineyard is just 1.33 acres in size and is dedicated exclusively to Cabernet Franc. Planted in 1991, we have consistently thinned these vines to just one cluster per shoot. The high quality we obtain has allowed us to make exceptional wine from this block year after year, and the 2000 is no exception. The aromas are luscious and perfumed, exhibiting the classic blueberry and violet characteristics we have come to expect from these grapes. Blended with up to 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has a lovely velvet texture and the structure to age. We bottle Cabernet Franc as an independent blend only for Premiere Napa Valley.
