Description

An incredible single-barrel lot created by winemaker Nils Venge. Estate grown on the Moskowite Ranch, this big, bold and rich blend of 80% Zinfandel and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon was selected from the best of the 1999 harvest from our Wappo Camp and Raney Rock vineyards. Punch-cap fermented and hand pressed, the wine will see 200% new French oak as it barrel ages for 24 months. With 12 months' initial aging in a new Nevers barrel completed, the final blend will continue to age an additional 12 months in a new Les Bertranges barrel, adding additional complexity. This powerful, rich, fruit- and spice-laden unfiltered final blend will be bottled by hand.
