Description
The first year of the new millennium brought Frog's Leap a most gracious invitation from our dear friends Tony and Jo Ann Truchard. Could we use two to three tons of their most select Syrah? Frog's Leap had never before made a Syrah, but such a delicious offer doesn't come around often enough. We embraced the idea and the resulting wine is a notable first. The wine is dramatic, dark and unctuous with heady aromas of black spices. The young flavors are remarkable, enormously deep and poised to drink beautifully for many years to come. This barrel presents a rare opportunity to secure the most special of firsts - Frog's Leap Syrah.
