Winemaker Nils Venge has crafted a fabulous "Super Tuscan" styled blend utilizing outstanding lots of estate-grown and produced Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petite Sirah from the Moskowite Ranch vineyards in the eastern Napa Valley hills. Lush, mature low yielding fruit from our 30-year-old Wappo Camp Zinfandel block creates the backbone for this big, bold mouth filling blend, which is loaded with heady aromas of sweet oak, ripe berries and rich spices. Extended maceration and 24 months in 200% new French oak add additional layers of complexity. The wine aged for 12 months in a new Les Bertranges barrel. The final blend will age 12 months in a new Colbert barrel, then be bottled unfiltered and unfined.
