2000 Cabernet Sauvignon
Chiles Valley District
Martini's Ghost Pines Vineyard is located in the rolling hills of Chiles Valley, a small appellation within the Napa Valley. Its distinct microclimate (700' elevation, classified as a warm Region II) enjoys warm days and cool evenings, resulting in fruit that is typically gutsy and intensely flavored. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, the wine was aged 20 months in new French Oak barrels. Spicy, cedar-briar aromas are combined with dark cherry and white pepper overtones. Deep tannins round out this full bodied wine. The finish is imbued with a berry flavors.
