Description
The 2001 Atalon Mount Veeder Merlot was selected by winemaker Thomas Peffer for the singular excellence of its rich blackberry fruit and intense structure, characteristic of Mount Veeder. The two-acre vineyard is located at an elevation of 1,400 feet. The ten-year-old vines are planted in volcanic ash soils, yielding three tons per acre. This Merlot is a beautiful component of the 2001 Atalon Mountain Estates Merlot.
