Description
Located at 550 ft. elevation on Diamond Mountain, our Dyer Vineyard is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. We have long been fans of the oak from the Baltic and Russian forests. These northern forests yield tight-grained staves that were prized in the early history of Bordeaux wine trade, but unavailable until recently due to the history and politics of the region. This offering comes from a single Russian oak barrel, which we find compliments and frames the concentration of our wines. Intense, full and luscious, the 2001 vintage is one to age.
