Our .6-acre Syrah vineyard overlooks the valley from its 1,700-foot elevation on the top of Mount Veeder. Marketta Fourmeaux produced only three barrels of Chateau Potelle Syrah, crafting each with her natural winemaking techniques. Like all her wines, Marketta's Syrah is intense, yet beautifully balanced. It was fermented with natural yeast, aged in French oak barrels, and will be bottled unfiltered. Moderate oak leaves ample room for fruit and other flavor elements to expand, creating an elegant balance. The expression of the wine's natural personality is evident in the delicate aromas that develop towards ripe fruit and multiple spicy elements.
